Empowering women through vocational training

Many women in Rwanda and Congo now live below poverty line yet they are central for the wellbeing of their households. Some of them live with HIV while others are single parents or both. In such a precarious society, there is need to equip women with employable skills through vocational training as a way of developing the wider social fabric. It is in that frame work that A Cup for Humanity has started to offer tailoring vocational training program that prepares women for employable opportunities. Our sewing studio in Kigali has started with four women. We hope to raise the number as we reach many women who are struggling to make ends meet.

We focus on shaping the mindset with the vision to free women from poverty by instilling hope and entrepreneur spirit in them and helping them to escape poverty.

There many women who need to be reached out. You can partner with us by supporting us with a sewing machine or donate via our website.
